The baby is finally prepared now and you are excited to see its face, but hold tight let your enthusiasm be but do not rush. Let your body give you proper indications whether it is the time or not. During the 39th week, you will be feeling a lot of things and your body will be experiencing a lot of changes as well. This is nothing but normal, embrace whatever is happening and take care of yourself. In the end, when you will see your angel’s face all this pain and discomfort will feel worth it.
During the 39th week of your pregnancy, you can expect your baby to be fully developed and ready to come out. During this week your baby will be the size of a big pumpkin measuring 20 inches long and will weigh approximately 7.3 pounds as well. Your belly will be feeling a lot of pressure due to the increasing size but it will be alright since you are a few days away from your due date only.

You might feel labor pain and contractions frequently but if they stop on changing your position then know that you are having Braxton Hicks contractions and it is absolutely fine. If your pain persists and gives you weird sensations down your led know that you are in labor. At that moment do not delay, rush immediately to the hospital because your body is absolutely prepared to deliver your baby.
Since your baby is sitting so low on your pelvic region you will be feeling a lot of sensations down your legs. The movement of the baby will increase as well during the 39th week of your pregnancy and this will hit your nerves in the weirdest positions. You will feel extremely sharp sensations around your vagina but do not mistake it with labor pain. Labor pain will be extreme and will persist for a long time.
Your mucus plug will get discharged during this time. And you will see a bloody tinge with your mucus as well. Your mucus provides a protective covering around your cervix and when your body is prepared to let your baby out this mucus will be discharged out through your vagina. If you see a lot of blood with your mucus, make sure you consult your doctor because it is not normal.

During this week your motherly instincts will be elevated to a huge extent. you will be feeling enthusiastic to see your child’s face but please do not deliver your baby due to that. Let your body give natural indications when it is ready. Because even though your baby is fully prepared at this week there are still some changes happening, so let that happen and deliver your baby when your body will be giving you proper messages. Your nesting desires will be elevated as well. You will be feeling like cleaning and organizing your baby’s room at this point and this is absolutely normal.
Signs of labor in the 39th week of pregnancy.
On the 39th week, you will be very near your due date and you will be experiencing labor pains as well. These might persist for a long time or might go away as well. If they are persisting then know you are in serious labor and it is time you head to the hospital. During this week make sure you take a lot of care of yourself and check on your baby as well.

If you see water gushing out of your vagina all of a sudden or a lot of water trickling down your legs, know that your amniotic fluid is coming out as your amniotic sac was ruptured. Contractions. When you are going into labor your contractions will become frequent. You will feel the tightening in your belly and see your contractions coming and going in a frequent manner know that it is time to visit the hospital.
Can a mom be in labor without the contractions and water breaking?
Contractions are very common but that might not be the case for every woman. If you go into labor without contractions you need to consult your OB immediately. Also if your water broke and you are not going into labor then it is time you consult your doctor because in these situations the rate of infection can be elevated.

This is one of the most crucial weeks of your pregnancy as your body is prepared and so is your baby to come out. The ultrasound of this week will be helping in knowing the baby’s position inside your body and also its well-being. After seeing the results the doctor will tell you if you need to deliver your baby immediately or not.
