If your pain persists and gives you weird sensations down your led know that you are in labor. At that moment do not delay, rush immediately to the hospital because your body is absolutely prepared to deliver your baby.

  • Sensations around your crotch.

Since your baby is sitting so low on your pelvic region you will be feeling a lot of sensations down your legs. The movement of the baby will increase as well during the 39th week of your pregnancy and this will hit your nerves in the weirdest positions. You will feel extremely sharp sensations around your vagina but do not mistake it with labor pain. Labor pain will be extreme and will persist for a long time.

  • Mucus discharge.

Your mucus plug will get discharged during this time. And you will see a bloody tinge with your mucus as well. Your mucus provides a protective covering around your cervix and when your body is prepared to let your baby out this mucus will be discharged out through your vagina. If you see a lot of blood with your mucus, make sure you consult your doctor because it is not normal.

Things you will feel in your 39th week of pregnancy.

During this week your motherly instincts will be elevated to a huge extent. you will be feeling enthusiastic to see your child’s face but please do not deliver your baby due to that. Let your body give natural indications when it is ready. Because even though your baby is fully prepared at this week there are still some changes happening, so let that happen and deliver your baby when your body will be giving you proper messages. Signs of labor in the 39th week of pregnancy.

Can a mom be in labor without the contractions and water breaking?

Contractions are very common but that might not be the case for every woman. If you go into labor without contractions you need to consult your OB immediately. Also if your water broke and you are not going into labor then it is time you consult your doctor because in these situations the rate of infection can be elevated.

Can you induce labor at home?

Sometimes due to certain situations, you might need to deliver your baby immediately, and in such situations even if your body is not in labor you need to induce it on your own. Some of the simple ways to induce labor include:

  • Frequent walking.
  • Having penetrative sex.

All these methods are not clinically or medically proven to induce contractions but are most likely to induce labor. If your conditions are serious make sure you rush to the hospital there you will be given proper medications to induce labor safely.

39th week ultrasound.

This is one of the most crucial weeks of your pregnancy as your body is prepared and so is your baby to come out. The ultrasound of this week will be helping in knowing the baby’s position inside your body and also its well-being. After seeing the results the doctor will tell you if you need to deliver your baby immediately or not.

At this time you are almost ready to deliver your baby so there is not much left to do other than just keeping in touch with your doctor.

  • Sleep as much as you can. Once the baby arrives your sleep will be gone so make sure you are getting enough sleep and relaxing your mind and body as much as you can.
  • Organize everything. Make sure your hospital bag is ready. And also install your car seat at this point. Keep your baby’s room clean and organized as you are just a few days away from your due date.
  • Drink an adequate amount of water. Keeping yourself hydrated is an extremely important part of your pregnancy. Hence make sure you drink water and other liquid substances and keep your body properly hydrated.
