Your baby this week is as big as acorn squash. The baby weighs around 2 and a half or 3 pounds by now and the length is 15 and a half or 16 inches. The length of your baby is almost close to his birth length however he needs to chub it out which is why he will be double the weight he is right now in the upcoming weeks. 29 weeks pregnancy indicates you are in the 7th month of your pregnancy. Meaning you are only 2 months away from the time you will actually see your current unborn baby. However, you need to keep in mind that doctors always keep a track of your weeks rather than months which is 40 weeks in total.
The current and the following weeks are majorly known for the jabs and elbows one would get that will be more vigorous as the days pass by. Your baby is now active in all kinds of stimuli such as sounds, light, movement, and what you eat. This is a good time to keep a count of the kicks as suggested by your doctor. However, these kicks and pressure put by the developing baby on your systems, especially your digestive system, can cause you to have different effects such as heartburn, frequency in urination, hemorrhoids, migraines, and constipation.
Migraines/headaches
Because of the weight and other developments, it becomes harder for the mothers-to-be to sleep. Due to this, they can have severe to mild headaches. If you are feeling lightheaded that is most probably due to the low sugar so you can eat in this case. However, if you have a severe migraine or headache, you can deal with the pain by lying down in a dark and quiet room with a cold compress.
Heartburn/indigestion/constipation
The production of various hormones in your pregnancy allows your smooth muscles to relax causing the food to move slowly in your digestive tract. This further leads to indigestion and heartburn causing you to have difficulty in sleeping or relaxing. You can avoid eating too much at night. Also, you need to keep yourself away from coffee or chocolate in the envening as they work as energizers making it difficult for you to have a sound sleep. Also, constipation is one of the things you may face during your third trimester. E Asa t fibrous foods And drink a lot of water to fight it.
Pain in hip/leg/back
Pain in your legs, back, or pelvic area is pretty common at this stage of pregnancy. This is because of the increasing weight and the pressure out by your baby on everything that you have inside. Also, you tend to have softer ligaments and joints as the body is preparing for the delivery, you can have aches in your hip, leg, or back. You can relax yourself by putting a cushion under your legs and lying down to straighten your back.
Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids during pregnancy are pretty common. Again the reason for them to appear during pregnancy is the pressure put by your baby on your digestive tract. The pressure on the anus and the intestinal muscles relaxing more than usual cause the hemorrhoids to appear. Either internal or external hemorrhoids, they can be quite uncomfortable and cause you irritation pain, and sometimes bleeding too. However, eating fibrous food and taking in fluids is the only solution to treat these pregnancy unwanted gifts.
Sleeping issues
Remember, the weight you are putting on will make you uncomfortable all the time. One of the times you will be super uncomfortable is while sleeping. Prenatal yoga, light exercise, less consumption of caffeine, and walks in the evening can help you get to sleep and feel relaxed the next day.
Never-ending visits to the washroom
Your expanding uterus will make you go to the washroom again and again. However, no matter how many times you go for urination, it is important to keep yourself hydrated so drink a lot of water. Water intake helps in the prevention of preterm labor as the pregnancy complication enhances if the other is dehydrated due to any reason. All you have to do to deal with frequent urination is drink less water before going to bed. On the other hand, otherwise, you will have to manage this issue and you cannot help yourself here.

With loads of kicks and jags, now is the right time to measure the number of kicks once or twice a day to check whether your baby is pretty active or not. Normally, there should be 10 kicks in an hour that you can count. However, if you don’t feel the kicks in an hour you can try drinking cold water, lie down on your side, or play some music to wake up the baby inside of you. If you are still worried you can check with your doctor and tell him the situation.
Usually, in the 29th week, most babies will have their heads down as they prepare for birth. However, many babies also may still be breached and may change their position in the next coming weeks. You can expect the baby’s position to be the opposite of where you feel the kicks. You can focus on the wriggles too to check whether it is the baby’s head or booty. Whatever the position is as long as you can feel the kicks, everything is normal and it will change in the coming weeks.
As you can feel the kicks stronger, you will also now feel minor twitches in your belly. Yes, that sounds amazing and feels awesome too, these are the fetus hiccups. With twins, you can feel these twitches to be stronger as compared to otherwise. However, if you go for an ultrasound you can see the growing baby pretty well. The white fat deposits underneath their skin are the reason they are so energetic.
