  • Hormone fluctuations, fatigue, caffeine withdrawal, hunger, sleep deprivation, and stress can all trigger headaches. Deal with it by handling your other triggers, try eating every two hours, get plenty of sleep, and drink plenty of fluids. A warm or cold compress, as well as rest, will help alleviate a headache. Some expecting mothers suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), which is detected when a pregnant woman gets dangerously dehydrated. If you cannot get any water down, are losing a lot of weight, or have fainted, you should visit the doctor, who will run tests to see if you have HG. The encouraging sentiment is that there are HG therapies available. You may need an IV to restore missing fluids, and you and your doctor may opt to use a prescription anti-nausea drug to help you avoid vomiting.

Ultrasound
