Whole-wheat Banana Walnut Cake –A superb tea time cake with the goodness of walnuts and banana to satisfy the sweet cravings.

Whole Wheat Banana Walnut Cake

The banana walnut bread combines the goodness of banana and walnuts – both teeming with essential nutrients. It is made of whole-wheat flour, further upping its health quotient.

Course: Dessert

Ingredients:

Wholewheat flour -1 heaped cup
Baking powder -1 tsp
Baking soda -1 tsp
Salt a pinch
2 Ripe Bananas -grated
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Refined oil – 1/4 the cup
Milk -1/2 cup or more
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
Chopped Walnuts – 1/2 cup
Choco chips – 2 tbsp (optional)

Instructions

Sieve the first four ingredients thrice n keep them aside.
Take a Big Mixing bowl, put grated Bananas, sugar, oil, vanilla essence, cinnamon powder. Mix everything well.
Gradually fold the flour mix into the wet batter in two batches. Gently fold. Adjust the consistency by adding milk. The batter Should not be flowy…
Dust the chopped walnuts with little flour.
Add walnuts and Choco chips in the batter (leave some for garnishing).
Prepare the baking tin, pour the cake batter into it, tap it twice n lastly garnish with chopped walnuts n Choco chips.
Bake it for 35-40 mins in a Pre-heated oven at 180’c.
Once done leave it inside for few more mins.
Once cool, slice it n enjoy dis Delicious Banana Cake.
