Are you planning to relocate this year? Here is the list of the 10 most powerful passports in the World in 2021.
Around the world, people miss the thrill of waltzing in and out of airports, their passport in hand — discovering new countries and having new experiences. And yet, there are some countries which are doing better than others, as a result of which, their passports have emerged as more powerful. The Henley Passport Index, which periodically measures the world’s most travel-friendly passports, has revealed in its latest report that Japanese passports are the most powerful in the world.
The best passports you can hold in 2021
If you are wondering what this means, let us clear the air, it certainly does not mean you get some diplomatic immunity if you hold these passports. This has strictly got to do with travel, and that is all. But it isn’t too bad after all. Japan stood first, again, with 191 points. This means that Japanese passport holders can travel to 191 destinations around the world with visa-free, or visa-on-arrival facilities. That does sound like a dream-come-true for travelers.
Here is the list of the top 10 countries:
1. Japan – 191
2. Singapore – 190
3. South Korea – 189
4. Germany – 189
5. Italy – 188
6. Finland – 188
7. Spain – 188
8. Luxembourg – 188
9. Denmark – 181
10. Austria – 181
The index placed India at the 61st position, along with the Philippines, Bhutan, Benin, Gabon, and Algeria, with all the six countries having a mobility score of 52. Holders of the Indian passport have visa-free access to 18 countries and require a visa on arrival for 34 countries. On the other hand, Indian passport holders require a visa to visit 146 countries and have a world reach of 26%.
