Indian households are known for their paratha skills, the different types of parathas available here are overwhelming and all of them being extremely nutritious. One such yummy paratha is ‘Broccoli Paratha’. Made with the goodness of broccoli, wheat flour, onion, all-purpose flour, and a melange of spices, this paratha is an apt breakfast recipe. This low-fat recipe is a treat for all weight watchers and their taste buds. Pair this delicious paratha recipe with your favorite spicy curry for lunch or dinner. Serve the paratha with pickle of your choice and chilled raita to relish the tempting flavors of this delicacy.

  • Wash the broccoli under running water and chop the florets. Keep them aside until needed further. Take a pan, keep it on medium flame, and pour water in it. Bring the water to boil and add chopped broccoli florets along with salt in the pan.
  • Meanwhile, peel the onion and chop it. In a mixer jar/grinder take the boiled broccoli, green chilies, turmeric, garlic cloves, and garam masala powder and grind into a paste.
  • In a deep bowl add wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, chopped onions, and the prepared broccoli-chili paste. To this bowl add in water and knead the mixture into a dough.
  • Once the dough is prepared, take a small portion of the dough and shape it like a ball. Press this ball and with the help of a rolling pin, create a large circle (shaped like that of a paratha).
  • Now take a skillet and brush it with refined oil. Put the prepared circle on the skillet and cook till both sides turn greenish-brown in color. Once done serve hot with pickles and curd.
