Dr Aditi S Nigam hails from mumbai, India and now settled in New Delhi. She has gained her MBBS degree from the prestigious Padma shree D Y medical college, Pune.

Educational Journey: Dr. Nigam’s pursuit of excellence in ophthalmology began at the renowned Padma Shree D. Y. Medical College in Pune, where she earned her MBBS degree. She then furthered her specialization by completing her Post Graduation in Ophthalmology at the esteemed D. Y. Patil Institute in Kohlapur. Her academic achievements reached new heights with her groundbreaking thesis on the comparative study of intraoperative complications in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome, a study which was published in the international journal “Advanced Research” (IJAR), Volume 5, Issue 2, in February 2017.

Global Exposure and Ongoing Education: After her formal education, Dr. Nigam sought global exposure and knowledge by attending various conferences and seminars. She also undertook short courses in specialized ophthalmological subfields at the University of Michigan and the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

Professional Journey: Currently, Dr. Nigam serves as a Senior Resident at the prestigious Centre For Sight in New Delhi. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her recent training under the esteemed Dr. Rupal Shah, one of India’s finest refractive surgeons, in LASIK procedures. She also completed a fellowship in Glaucoma under the guidance of Dr. Devinder Sood, a renowned glaucoma surgeon and the President of the Glaucoma Society of India.

Vision and Aspirations: Dr. Nigam’s vision extends beyond her clinical practice. She aspires to become one of the world’s finest ophthalmologists, with a dedication to making a difference in eye care. During her free time, she immerses herself in learning about prominent figures in the ophthalmological world.

In addition to her professional goals, Dr. Nigam has a philanthropic heart and dreams of establishing a charitable foundation to contribute significantly to achieving the vision of 2020 for eye care. When not pursuing her medical passions, she enjoys sketching and never leaves her home without her cherished “first optical instrument,” her camera. Dr. Aditi S.
